Happy Sunday!

Slow start this morning after a wonderful night at the movies!  Yes, I am one of the many, many Twilight followers who just had to see the movie opening weekend.  My goal today is to complete and post three cards, beginning with this beauty from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Clara.

Although I am not a fiscally responsible paper crafter by any stretch of the imagination (I like to collect things!), I do try to be frugal.  The snowflakes have been punched out of packaging from a doll my daughter received for her birthday then sprayed with spray adhesive and sprinkled with Stampin' Up! dazzling diamonds.  For added texture, I pulled apart a cotton ball, glued it to the card, and once again used spray adhesive to add shimmer by sprinkling dazzling diamonds over the "snow".  I popped up Clara using the in-betweens on my pop dots.  Rather than tossing the left over foam surronding the pop dots once they have all been punched out, I use my scissors to cut into useful pieces - this is especially useful for small areas which need popping Clara's delicate hands, bottom of the pony tail, and the bird.

The image was coloured with Lyra pencils and blended with odorless thinner. The scarf and barrettes have been touched up with US ArtQuest mica paints.

This card will be entered into the challenges at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and Crazy for Challenges.
