Sweet November Princess Collection

Early last year I stumbled across a blog titled A Thousand Sheets of Paper and fell in love with a fairy named Coriander.  When I inquired as to where I could find the image, I discovered that Amy had hand drawn the beautiful fairy but not to fear, as All That Scraps would be releasing her in April.  That was February 2010 and I counted down the days to her release - just like most stampers, I too have an obsessive streak!.

My waiting paid off and I created this card with Coriander:

Today marks the fourth day of previews from Amy's newest release, The Princess Collection, on the All That Scraps blog!  Oh my!  The new dragon is delicious and the new princesses are AMAZING!  You can check them out here!  The new release will be available for purchase Monday, January 3rd, 2011 - What a fabulous way to ring in the new year!!!

See you all tomorrow with the first challenge of the new year from Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog!

A Paper Sundaes Sketch with Coriander Fairy

Funny how time sometimes seems to just slip by so quickly and sometimes so slowly.  I remember when I first saw Coriander on Amy's blog A Thousand Sheets of Paper this past spring.  The image was so amazing that I just had to e-mail Amy to find out where to get her!  Turns out Amy had just drawn her for that card but there was hope, as Amy's images sometimes find their way to being released under Sweet November.  Then time passed slowly as I waited over two months for her release.  With all this waiting I am surprised to find myself colouring her now for the first time!

This week on Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog the talented Crystal created a sketch for us all to follow.  I added Stampin' Up! dazzling diamonds to the edges of her wings, her dress, and even the top edges of the Wild Orchid flowers and leaf.

Trying once again to get more depth with my shadows and figure out dark brown hair with my copics.  (I encourage anyone with favorite hair colour combinations to please post them!)

Thank you for looking!  I look forward to seeing your interpretation of Crystal's sketch on Paper Sundaes for your chance to win two stamps from Paper Jewels!
