Celebrating Christmas with Ribbon Tilda

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!  Today is just a little brighter in my world thanks to the book "The Explosive Child".  Why?  For those of you out there who share my frustration with having "challenging" little darlings, you can imagine how wonderful it feels to read a book which seems to understand the volatility around our home.  It is nice to hear a view point which suggests my five and eight year olds need to learn skills to control their emotional outbursts - and for once I feel hopeful that I can help my strong willed children can embrace peace.  My angels are a far cry from this serene and angelic Ribbon Tilda:

This week on Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog we have opened up the Sundae Bar with four new toppings: Black, Distressing, Flowers and Sparkle.  You only need to select two to play along!  I've chosen flowers and sparkles for my toppings.

The layout is from Sketch Saturday and I've added extra sparkle with Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds on Tilda's trim and around the image.

Thank you for looking!  I look forward to seeing which toppings you choose from the Sundae Bar at Paper Sundaes!

Happy Easter Glamor Girl

Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate today!  And Happy Sunday!

This week I thought I would check out one of the lines of stamps from Stamp and Create that I do not normally play with - Kenny K!  While I was checking out Lacey's store I was amazed by the variety of stamps she carries - CC Designs, Belles n' Whistles, High Hopes, Tickled Pink and Whiff of Joy - just to name a few!  I decided to create a card for my 14 year old, ipod obsessed, niece featuring Download Diva:

This week Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog has re-opened the Sundae Bar and are featuring the following four toppings: Sparkle, Pearls, Die Cuts, and the colour Yellow.  I chose to use die cuts and pearls:

The layout is thanks to this week's sketch at The Sweet Stop.  As I mentioned on yesterday's post, I used the same gorgeous papers from Kaiser Kraft on both creations.

My niece's room is lime green and black so I used these two colours on the inside of the card and kept the rest clean and simple.

Thank you for looking!  I look forward to seeing your Sundae creation featuring two, three, or even all four of the toppings from this week's Sundae Bar!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:

Splash Zone

Happy Sunday!  Today's challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is "How Charming!"  Feel free to add your favorite charm or metal embellishment to your creation.  Lacey from Stamp and Create is graciously sponsoring the challenge with a $20 gift certificate to her fabulous store!  My best friend's children are getting ready to head off to provincials in swimming in a few short weeks, so to celebrate I used Water Babe to create a "You Go Girl!" card for her daughter:

I have followed the sketch from Cute Card Thursday using Bo Bunny paper from their Sun Kissed collection.  The origin of the fish charm is unknown as I believe I "fished" it off something that was being discarded.

The flowers are from Prima and I've used my sewing machine to add some crazy stitching around the edge of the card.

Uru and Bird in the Snow

Happy Sunday!  Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is back this week with the challenge "Let It Snow!" sponsored by Stamp and Create.  Lacey carries a wide selection of stamps including Wags n' Whiskers, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Lil Lolita, and Whiff of Joy.  Norma Fickel designed this cute image, Uru and Bird:

Surprisingly this week I chose to take a pass on the sketch challenges and created my own.  I used foam squares to add dimenstion and micro beads to add texture on the bottom of the image.

Stamp and Create also carries the most amazing selection of charms.  Last winter I bought this cute little snowflake from Stamp and Create that I've attached to the bow with a jump ring:

A Fairy for My Beautiful Princess

Happy Sunday!  Sorry for the disappearing act the past couple weeks.  It's been a whirlwind of doctor's appointments and blood tests for my just turned four year old darling daughter.  In the morning we hit the finish line with a biopsy to determine if she has celiac disease like her five year old cousin.

For that reason, and her love of butterflies and fairies - this week's challenge All Things Winged on Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is perfectly timed.  I've used the beautiful Wags n' Whiskers fairy Angelica to create a special card for her on the eve of her hospital visit.

At four years of age, Taryn adores her name and anything with her name on it.  So I used glitter letters and the charming new papers from Cosmo Cricket - Pixilicious.

The flower from Maya Road was a special purchase just for my little flower-loving princess.  The colour matched the patterned papers perfectly.  I applied Stampin' Up! dazzling diamonds liberally!

Currently Taryn's favorite colour is "rainbow" so I used my copics to pull out as many of the different colours from the patterned papers as possible.

The card was a hit!  She decided that it needed to sit on her nightstand where she could look at it as she fell asleep tonight.  Hopefully Angelica will watch over her tomorrow.

Angelica will be entered into the following challenges:
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Sketch by Leann
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
Crazy4Challenges - Bling (glitter, glitter, and more glitter!!!)

Thank you for looking!  I look forward to seeing your winged creations on Paper Sundaes!

Paper Sundaes Twelfth Challenge

Happy Sunday!  And for those of you who are celebrating a special day today - Enjoy!  In our household little bunny prints will be tracked down and candies will be devoured.  My six year old son actually asked to go to bed early in an effort to speed up time to morning.

Hard to imagine that Paper Sundaes is now in it's fourth month!  Wow!  I feel the need to do something outrageous...perhaps a little hopping like a bunny?  Nah, not yet.  How about doing something different?  This week's challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is a sketch by our talented visionary Christine.  The prize is from Stamp and Create and is not to be missed!  Knowing that Lacey from Stamp and Create is also a talented scrapbooker and DT member of Scrap and Stamp, I decided to return to my papercrafting roots.

Years before discovering the joys of cardmaking, I was a scrapbooker.  I scrapbooked when most people didn't know what I was talking about.  Now most people know the term and can even identify at least one company who sells products.  This layout was inspired by Lacey and the other girls from Scrap and Stamp and will be entered into their sporty challenge this week.  This layout will also be entered into at Simon Says Challenge (distressing).

Thank you for looking!  Please join us this week at Paper Sundaes for your chance to win a $15 gift certificate to Stamp and Create and your choice of two images for the latest Wags 'n Whiskers release "Let's Play"!

Paper Sundaes First Challenge

Another exciting Sunday as Paper Sundaes launches their first challenge today!

I have created two cards for this occasion.  I am combining my first PS card with the challenges at Simon Says Challenge, Creative Inspirations Challenge (distressing) and A Spoon Full of Sugar.  Here is Piper which is just one of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps available at Stamp and Create.  Lacey has IN STOCK the new releases from KKS!

The sentiment is from the Kimmie's Fun Sentiments set available here.  I used another of the sentiments on the inside:

I love the new release from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and have a rather large order arriving any day.  Sadly it did not arrive prior to this post however the last release was just as amazing and included Drucilla.

Drucilla is slated not only for PSC1 but also for the weekly challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog (pink/red/chocolate).  My order from Stamp and Create arrived Friday so I was able to use my new double heart charms and pearls.  The fancy tags nestabilities used to showcase the sentiment is currently on sale here.

This card is destined for my darling husband, my valentine, for our upcoming Anniversary (yes, we are one of those couples who got married on Valentine's Day).  Both sentiments are from Kimmie's Sassy Sentiments.

Thank you for looking!  Now check out the fabulous sponsor and challenge at Paper Sundaes and top your Sunday with a smile!

Winner of last week's blog candy drawn by Random.org is comment #3:
