PaperWorks Co Ultimate Summer Challenge - My Turn!

So, what is a girl supposed to do when issued a colour challenge?  Dig through her stash for something that works?  No way!  This girl calls up her friend Chris for some shopping fun!  A huge thanks to Peggy at PaperWorks Co for introducing this girl to Echo Park!  For the colour challenge I just had to use a sheet from Sweet Summertime and two sheets from A Walk in the Park - I just love those colours and the beautiful patterns!

These papers paired beautifully with the Rachelle Anne Miller stamp Puddles of Fun

I used Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects to give the puddle extra sheen and the image is coloured with my beloved copic markers.  With Peggy's copic marker club and 5% emergency craft fund - I am often tempted to add to my collection!  This card follows the current sketch at Sketch Saturday.

I've added some of my favorite Wild Orchid flowers and a charm from Stamp and Create.

Charisma Cardz is looking for easel cards so I happily created one!  I fell in love with and married my husband of twelve years because of his sense of humour so I LOVE the matching sentiment for this image!

Thank you for looking!  As this is a team challenge, please check out the first card made by Crystal for the sketch challenge and the third card made by Christine for the inspiration challenge.  I am looking forward to seeing what the talented Danielle prepares for the yet unannounced technique challenge tomorrow!

Copic Details

Thank you for looking!  And if you like what you see, help us win the challenge by leaving some love!

Another Sunday with Paper Sundaes!

This week PaperWorks Co. is sponsoring a sketch challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog.  I am proud to say that the following sketch is one of my own.

Jacob's Table for Two from The Freckle Love Collection at PaperWorks Co. is absolutely adorable.  He was fun to colour with my copic markers

To fit better with the sketch, I chose to cut out Jacob and reposition him closer to the table with pop-up dots.

The sentiment which accompanies Jacob did not quite fit in the Fancy Tags which I trimmed to suit the simplistic layout.  I handwrote the last word on the inside with an Atyou glitter pen from PWCO.  I kept the inside clean and simple.

The paper and embellishments are from the February PaperCard Kit at PaperWorks Co. which includes:
12 – 6″x6″ Patterned Paper from 3Bugs in a Rug – Simple Pleasures Collection
4 – 8.5″ x 11″ sheets of Prismatics Cardstock
3 – 8.5″ x 11″ sheets of Cardstock from Bazzill Basics’s Smoothies Line
2 – 8.5″x11″ sheets of Simply Smooth White Cardstock from Prism)
1 – 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of Bazzill Dotted Swiss Cardstock
Assortment of Brads from BasicGrey
3 yards of Ribbon from Bazzill Basics/Doodlebug
Dewdrops from Robin’s Nest
Blank Flowers from Prima (to be colored to your liking)
BONUS – Assortment of Turquoise buttons and A2 sheet of cardstock diecut from My Mind’s Eye

Enough to make AT LEAST 10 full size cards!

Other supplies used include Spellbinders Nestabilities - Labels One, Martha Stewart border punch and scroll heart punch.

Join us this week at Paper Sundaes for your chance to win copic markers plus a sentiments and characters bundle from PaperWorks Co.!  Your choice of Aqua Amigos, Jungle Jesters, or Safari Friends.

Jacob will be entered into the challenges at Papertake Weekly (Love Actually), Creative Card Crew (Valentine's), Cute Card Thursday (Spots and Dots - swiss dot cardstock, dots on patterned paper), Charisma Cardz (I Love You), and Crazy 4 Challenges (Be My Valentine).
Thanks for looking!

Paper Sundaes Third Challenge

Tomorrow is February 1st and everywhere I look love is all around!  Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is celebrating with a Valentines theme this week.  The valentine could be for your honey, your mom, your kids, or even your pet.  The sponsor this week is PaperWorks Co. who has graciously provided not only a $25 gift certificate to this week's random winner, but also a discount code for 10% off two of their stamp lines to Paper Sundaes' followers.

I've decided to create two cards with Standing Beneath A Tree from the Freckle Love collection at PaperWorks Co.  For the first card I have cut out the individual elements from the stamped image and placed them so that the little boy and girl are holding hands.  I kept my card simple to draw focus on the image.

Both cards feature the February 2010 PaperCard Kit from PaperWorks Co. which will be available on their website tomorrow.  The kit includes 12 - 6"x6" Patterned Paper from 3Bugs in a Rug Simple Pleasures Collection, 10 sheets of assorted cardstock, brads, ribbon, dewdrops, flowers, and buttons!  Enough to easily make six or seven cards if you love layers and more if you keep it simple.

Both cards also use Memento ink and Spellbinders Nestabilities which is also available through Peggy at PaperWorks Co.  Don't forget to check out PWCO upcoming stamp release on February 5th and their copic marker club.

These cards will be entered into the challenges at Caardvarks (hearts), Fussy and Fancy (hearts), Allsorts (hearts and flowers), Belli (hearts), PaperPlay (pink, white and green), Cute Card Thursday (blooming gorgeous) and Lexi's Creations (Valentines).  Thank you for looking!
