Happy Sunday! Today marks a new and exciting challenge with Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog - Summer Fun. And this week's sponsor is the queen of sassy, Sassy Cheryl! As the warm weather system moves in, Paper Sundaes would love to see how you like to celebrate the sun. Do you swim? Eat ice cream or watermelon? Water ski? Or comb the beach for treasures just like this beautie from Sassy Cheryl's - On the beach:
The papers from Basic Grey Kioshi are gorgeous and SU crystal effects nicely shines complimenting the coarseness of the clear, smooth water. Thank you for looking. I look forward to seeing your idea of summer fun!

A pinch of Sassy and a dash of Innocence
As a member of Sassy Cheryl's PaperCraft Planet group, I recently enjoyed a freebie for her members for reaching 300. The sassiness of this little miss "All the Frills" is true Cheryl-style and why I adore her images! I pictured this little princess digging into a tickle trunk of Mommy's old clothes - which in my case would be circa 1980s - with neons and black. I actually owned a pair of red glasses!
The sketch is designed by Claudia Rosa for Friday Sketcher Challenge. On the other end of the attitude scale, I have some Pure Innocence to share. This little angel is ready for Spring with her posies and butterflies.
I took a break from my copics to pick up my Lyra polycolor pencils. The papers are perfect for all the Spring challenges out there although I have her picked for a special Spring birthday.
My Sassy Miss will be entered into the challenges at Friday Sketchers (sketch) and Charisma Cardz (something for the kids). My Angel will be entered into all those Spring challenges including Pink Elephant, Secret Crafter Saturday, and Crazy for Challenges and the anniversary challenge at Cute Card Thursday for the birthday sentiment.
Thank you for looking!

Cloudy with a chance of Sassy
A tad obsessed, I waited up last night to see if Sassy Cheryl's new digis would go up for sale before I headed to bed. Bad idea. They were for sale, and once in my hands, I couldn't wait until morning to begin colouring! So with no paper in front of me (DH was threatening to shut off the TV and go to bed if I got up just one more time!), I picked a lively orange/yellow/green combo. Imagine my surprise when this morning's challenge at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog was announced as green/orange/black and glitter AND I found paper that fit the bill in my stash! Now to share, the sassy April Showers from Sassy Cheryl's and sentiment from Paper Makeup:
In my excitement to share this creation, I apparently took a crooked picture so I'll have to retake it - after DD and I run out to pick up her copy of Disney's The Princess and The Frog!
Thanks for looking!

Another Sassy Card
I've been having a blast hanging out with the Sassy gals on PaperCraft Planet. We share cards, praise, support, and copic chatter. The last topic inspired Cheryl to create Marker Girl for all her copic crazed fans, including me. I had to buy it and use it for this week's sketch challenge at the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog.
The image is coloured with copics, of course, matched to the Basic Grey Lemonade paper. However when it came time to put the card together based on the sketch, it fought back. The bold patterns and bright colours clashed horribly as I tried to mat layers and find a base. So, mats disappeared and out came white cardstock for a base. Then came the sewing to give it a little something! The flowers are two different sized circles cut with my Spellbinders Nestabilities, wet with water, scrunched into submission, un-scrunched and left to dry on the counter overnight. Final step was to put the layers together, top with a Stampin' Up button, and attach with Close to My Heart waxy flax. One flower was put on the front and another on the inside.
Thanks for looking! Be sure to check back Sunday for my Paper Sundaes creation featuring an image from Karen's Doodles!

The butterflies were a last minute addition to hide some uh-ohs and were punched from unused flower layers that had been scrunched and dried. Marker Girl will be entered into the challenges at Cupcake Crafts (flower power), A Spoon Full of Sugar (recycle - butterflies were punched from flower layers), Charisma Cardz (butterflies), and Secret Crafter Saturday (anything goes).

A Sassy image for Mercy's sketch
Okay, there is no denying it. I have it bad for Karen's Doodles and Sassy Cheryl images. I wonder if Tilda and Mimosa will ever forgive me? Only a few short weeks ago I was debating the rubber v. digi from the rubber side...now I'm split. So, without further ado, this gorgeous Mother and Child image is from Sassy Cherl's and you can find a sassy group of gals to chat with about Cheryl's fresh and exciting images on PaperCraft Planet:
I'll post the details later. Thanks for looking!
This sketch is from the talented Mercy Kerin at Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. Just being me, I had to add colour to the inside of the card:
This colour combo is perfect for the current challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog - deadline to enter is 11:59 pm EST tonight!
I'll post the details later. Thanks for looking!

A Sassy Friday
Oh what a happy Friday! I just got confirmation that I will be attending the copic certification class in Calgary on April 18th!!! Wowzers! And PaperWorks Co. is having a spring sale - so I had to pick up a new Spellbinder and a handfull of new copics to celebrate!

Sassy Cheryl's and Karen's Doodles
As much as I love playing with rubber, I have stumbled across two digital image companies that have me stuffing my on-line shopping cart full! Karen's Doodles are wide-eyed cherub children and animals such as the Fairy Princess. Sassy Cheryl's are fresh and exciting with images such as Easter Bunny Snowman.
The paper Blissful Bunny is from the Spring collection by Dear Lizzy and American Crafts, and was used on the inside of the card as well. This card will be entered into the stitching challenge at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.
Another of Cheryl's sassy images is Land Swimmer. I used Versamark pen and Glassy Enamel on the rain drops, puddle, and her mask to add sheen. With textured Bazzill cardstock, stitching, ribbon, pop dots, and glassy enamel, this card qualifies for the texture challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges and the ribbon challenge at Cute Card Thursday.
The sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps and the umbrella stamped on the inside is from Stampin' Up!
I was on a Sassy Cheryl creating spree, so I have one more to share. This one was coloured with Koh-I-Noor and Lyra coloured pencils and blended with odorless thinner.
The image is called Gentle Friends and will be entered into the challenge at Cupcake Crafts. The inside was also distressed but left blank to allow for adding a sentiment later.
There is one day left (today!) to enter the challenge at Paper Sundaes for your chance to win two Bildmalarna stamps from Paper Jewels.
Thank you for looking!
