Tania Baking Up Some Love for a Friend

Happy Sunday!  This week on Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog we are asking you to "Pick Your Sundae Toppings"!  We'd like to see your creation with at least two of the following toppings: punches, ribbon, the colour blue, or embossing.  For my creation I've topped my sundae with punches and the colour blue - obviously!  Tania Baking is stirring up some love and well wishes for an on-line friend of mine who has recently gone through some troubled times.

I have used my friend Christine's Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight to create a hidden message behind the image and my Stampin' Up! border punch to compliment the scallop patterns on the paper.

I used the same die to cut out the inside sentiment.  Both sentiments are from the same set available here.

Thank you for looking!  I look forward to seeing which two, three, or four sundae toppings you use for your creations!

Another Belle on Sundae

Happy Sundae!  This week's challenge on Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is the perfect time to break out your embellishments!  The challenge is to use a minimum of three different types of embellishments on your creations.  I actually used four - ribbon, pearls, flowers, and a gem brad.  The challenge gave me the perfect excuse to ink up one of my favorite Belles n' Whistles stamps, Tania Baking:

I still managed to keep the card fairly simple thanks to the sketch at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and the colour combo at Belles n' Whistles Blog.

Tania will be entered into the following challenges:

Totally Papercrafts - Let's Go Dotty

Thanks for looking!  I look forward to seeing your creation on Paper Sundaes!

Spring Cleaning? What's That?!

***Click HERE if you are hopping with Spesch Designer Stamps***

Welcome to another fabulous Sunday with Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog!  Anyone who knows me will be smiling over that title.  I am NOT, nor have I ever been, known for the cleanliness of my house.  Much to the despair of my mother and aunt who try to convince me that a woman's worth is directly tied to her ability to clean and maintain a household (they are a tad old fashioned!), I would much prefer to create.  Create cards or create scrapbook layouts - for me it leads to the same result - I create a mess.  Sadly right now my craft room is under siege and I've taken over the dining room table to colour and make cards.

There is a point to this story...and that is how much I LOVE Elisabeth Bell and the Belles 'n Whistles latest release!!!  Especially the Spring Cleaning line.  Having not pushed a vacuum since I got married (granted we have only hardwood and lino in our house - wonder why?!), I immediately wanted Belle Vaccuming.  I knew the exact quote I would use for her on a card.

Of course I finished the quote on the inside of the card:

Tonight I was on a roll with picture taking and I even remembered to take a picture of the copics I used:

This week's challenge at Paper Sundaes is a colour combination of green, yellow, and red.  Use a little of each or a lot - as long as all three colours are visible on your card, we're happy!  I love the bright colours I found on the Garden Variety line by Cosmo Cricket.  The cardstock was a retired incolor from Stampin' Up!

Belle Vacuuming will be entered into the challenges at Roses on Paper (sketch), Diedrich Dare (Spring), and  Lili of the Valley (Summer - bright and colourful papers).

Please check out the rest of the fabulous DT creations featuring images from the talented Elisabeth Bell on the Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog.  I look forward to seeing what you create with this week's colour combination!  This week marks the first week participants will be eligible to win the Paper Sundaes Top Three blog badge!

Thank you for looking!

Beary Big Hugs for Valentine's Day

The new Elisabeth Bell stamps from Belles 'n Whistles are gorgeous!  One of my favorite stamps is Beary Big Hugs which I've used for the colour challenge at Roses on Paper this week.  I have combined the ROP challenge with the recipe challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar and the challenge at Friday Sketchers.

The shading technique used on this card is feather blending which is the current challenge at Copic Creations.  The technique takes practice which is why I will be posting a couple more cards using this technique later today and tomorrow.  The recipe at A Spoon Full of Sugar included one patterned paper, one embossed (pink layer is embossed with D'vine Swirls folder), one ribbon (I've cut it in half to use on top and bottom of card), and one button (which is on her headband).

Beary Big Hugs will also be entered into the challenges at Dutch Dare Challenge (Valentine's Day), Cute Card Thursday (In the Name of Love), Creative Card Crew (Valentines), Simon Says Challenge (Love), and Everybody Art (Valentine).

Don't forget there is one more day to enter the sketch challenge at Paper Sundaes!  Random winner to receive a couple copic markers and their choice of PaperWorks Co. animals and sentiments set!

Thank you for looking!  I'll be back later with an entry for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge blog.  Their new release is out tomorrow - Aye!!!
