Friday Sketchers Challenge

A hectic day yesterday ended on a wonderful note when I arrived home to find my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps order had arrived - thank you Kimmie for amazing service! I ordered them last weekend and with the holiday in the middle of this past week I had all my fingers and toes crossed that I would have them for this weekend's playtime. Last night I inked up all four new stamps multiple times on my two favorite papers - Prism for copics and Lynx from Evergreen Stationers in Edmonton for coloured pencils. While KKS are known for their whimsical images, I love to challenge myself to use stamps in new and different ways - so I chose muted green with a small splash of purely pomegranite for Clara.

And without further ado, I give you the beautiful Clara!

A close up of the front sadly reveals that I need more practice with dark coloured hair but yet again I wanted to try out something I don't normally do.

The inside of the card wasn't really planned but came together nicely. I punched one edge of each piece initially and found that the border was lost on the dark cardstock so I added an edge piece. Not overly elaborate but a nice touch.

This card is being entered into the Friday Sketchers Challenge.
Details:
Paper - Prism, Stampin' Up cardstock and designer series paper
Embellishments - Prima (flowers), Kaiser (pearls), ribbon (Stampin' Up)
Punches/dies - EK Success, Nestabilities

Thank you for looking!
