Going My Way?

This week's challenge at Karen's Doodles US Challenge Blog is Fancy Folds - anything except a simple card folded in half!  I decided to create a gate card with the current sketch at Sketch Saturday and Karen's adorable Cruisin' couple:

It took me a couple weeks and several scrapbook stores to find just the right paper for this image.  I wanted the card to be just right as a belated anniversary card for my darling hubby.  He likes to joke that he had to marry me when I didn't complain after the last couple hours of our May long weekend motorbike ride was completed in a downpour at highway speeds.  We were forced to call for assistance and leave the bike an hour south of the city with a friend as another friend came and drove us home.  As Spring returns, hubby once again begins to scour for sale ads for his next bike.

Please join us this week at Karen's Doodles US Challenge Blog with your multi-fold creation!

My belated anniversary card will be entered into the challenges at Sketch Saturday and Cute Card Thursday.

Thank you for looking!

Adorable card! Love that image. :) Funny, I've been on a few long trips on the bike - some of which ended up being in torrential downpours out in the middle of no where land....thank heavens for rain suits and heated seats. :)

Shana, love your card, especially the inside. And, I agree sometimes you need just the right paper to make a card just perfect!

The rain suit would have been nice, had I not adjusted my sitting position on the bike and accidently slid the saddle bag against the muffler which melted the rain suit. Must have been the "new love" feeling which kept my now DH from yelling at me!

Shana, this is too cute. You are right about the DP, it is perfect for sweet Rosie and her "hog". Lovely coloring on the image, wonderful choice of colors. No better way to travel than on the back of a bike!
