Christmas Tickled Pink Style

Happy Tuesday!  I'm so happy to report that I had a fabulous time in Calgary with Sherrie Siemens in Intermediate Copic Certification!  We played with reds among other things so I wanted to try a red dress on the beautiful Lil Christmas Lolita Willow:

The challenge at Tickled Pink Stamps Christmas Challenge is Something Hand Made.  So, I made a snowflake.  I took some old packaging from a toy my children received at Christmas and cut out a snowflake using my Big Shot.  I then took adhesive spray and applied it liberally to the snowflake before applying Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds - and Voila!  A beautiful snowflake!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft - sketch
Tickled Pink Christmas - something hand made (snowflake)

Tilda goes Exploring

As I'm making a mad dash to get on the road for Copic Intermediate Certification in Calgary tomorrow, I wanted to share a card I made with my brand new Tilda from All That Scraps:

This gorgeous inquisitive little girl is Explore Tilda and this card has to be the cleanest Magnolia card I have ever made!

I added Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects to her magnifying glass and the insect wings.  I'm entering her in the challenge at Card Positioning Systems.  She is also being entered into the ATS Photo Inspiration - I'm inspired by the flowers, the brass taps, green fruit, and pink bottle.

Happy Father's Day Pops

Stuck at home with strep throat and a computer which apparently is not so happy trying connect to work, I've had a bit of time to colour a cute image from Paper Makeup Stamps, Pops and Me:

I have followed the sketch at Midnight Madness Sketch and used papers from TPC Studio 'Reel Me In'.

On the inside I created a large area for my seven year old son to write a message for his "pops":

Pops and Me will be entered into the following challenges:
Shopping Our Stash - Stripes (used Bazzill cardstock purchased over 5 years ago - Wow!)
Cupcake Crafts - Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy
Papertake Weekly - Dads and Lads

I Need Some Face Time

Oh Happy Sunday! I say this with my tongue in cheek as I have a house full of kids just waking up from a sleep over! Breakfast with my two and their three cousins can be a bit stressful as they each eat a different type of cereal and two of them have celiac disease which means no gluten for them. After breakfast the fun will begin as we head out to the garden for a couple hours before walking thee cousins back home - I figure their mom and dad will enjoy sleeping in.

My card today is actally for my sister-in-law. As soon as I saw the latest release at My FavoriteThings, I knew I had to have it for my sister-in-law who is glued to her iPhone.  I was lucky that Kathy at my local scrapbook store, Scrap and Bean, was just placing an MFT order and was able to add 'a la mode - I Need Some Face Time':

Isn't she gorgeous?  Gloria's favourite colour is blue according to my nieces so I have paired the image with the fabulous new papers from My Mind's Eye - Lime Twist.  This week's challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is 'Girly Girl' so I have added a touch of pink cardstock, pale cream and pink cherry blossoms, lace and a burgundy bow.  The little green curls were actually made by taking the stems off twoof the Wild Orchid flowers and wrapping them around a thin paint brush handle before gently pulling them off.  I have followed this week's sketch from the MFT blog.

I have treated the screen on the iPhone to Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects and coloured this lovely lady with copics.  This time next week I will be buzzed from the Intermediate Copic Certification in Calgary with Sherrie Siemens!  Woo hoo!

Thank you for looking!  I look forward to seeing your 'Girly Girl' creation on Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog!
