Me...Hungry?

My friend and I are frequent on and off again weight watchers. When she told me she's "on" again, I thought I would help lighten at least her mood with a card. I love this little monster Chomp from Paper Makeup Stamps:

This is my first attempt colouring on kraft cardstock. Thanks to Paper Sundaes Girl Lisa, I decided to brave the unknown.  However, to be safe, my first attempt was done with my much ignored Lyra coloured pencils.

I followed the Midnight Madness sketch and chose somewhere inbetween their ultra clean and simple sketch and their more elaborate version.

I used the same layout on the inside of the card and added a sentiment which I typed on my computer:

Sentimental about My Son

This week on Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog we would love to see you get sentimental. I have chosen to gush about my fabulous seven year old son (who insists that I own way too many girl stamps and no where near enough boy stamps!).  This handsome gentleman is Oakley with Scooter from Whiff of Joy: 

I have used papers from my stash from the Paper Loft.  The brown cardstock layer was embossed with the Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder.

Oakley is coloured with copic markers.

Let's Get Shabby - Tickled Pink Style!

Happy Wednesday!  Today I'd love to share with you my project for this week's shabby chic/vintage challenge at Paper Sundaes.  Sadly, I finished this little sketch book project Saturday but just felt it was missing something so I wanted to add something.  Not sure what might be missing, but from a practical standpoint, if I want my fourteen year old niece to use it, I have to make it functional - so no poofy ribbons or gems or pearls.  Hopefully she'll like it! 

I cropped the 12 x 12 paper so that the frame spotlighted Lil Victorian Steampunk Lolita Evie.  I love this era of fashion.  My family moved to Edmonton in 1984 and for over twenty years I thoroughly enjoyed dressing up in Klondike/Gold Rush day fashion for the annual Klondike Days.

I am so happy with the shading on her dress!  I love all the folds.  I used the words on the paper to add a message to my niece on the front and on the inside cover.

I decorated the back inside cover but kept it fairly blank so that she can write her name or whatever on the back.  The sketch book is from Ecojot.
