Three Little Piggies Went Dancing

Some of my absolute favorite Meljen's Designs images are from the Fairytale Collection first launched with Whimsy Stamps.  Now that all of Melissa's amazing images are on Whimsy, you can find all of her fabulous images in one place - including Three Pigs:

I kept this card fairly simple to focus on the image and to create a more masculine card.  I did add some dimension with the bow.

You have four days left to enter the Circles Galore challenge at Meljen's Designs Challenges & Inspiration Blog for your chance to win three digis and the chance to be chosen as one of the top five!

Thank you for looking!  I look forward to seeing your circle creation!

Here Comes the Rain with Spesch

Good afternoon!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their week.  With the rain driving me indoors on Sunday, I took the opportunity to colour Samantha - a Spesch image I had previously printed when I had copic-friendly printer ink.

Samantha is available in both digital and clear.  For fellow Canadians and other North American residents, Samantha can be purchased in clear from Jenny at Paper Jewels

Samantha will be entered in the following challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges - two or more ribbon
Charisma Cardz - metal mickey (brads)
Papertake Weekly - in stitches

Thank you for looking!

Paper Sundaes Challenge #25 - White plus One!

Happy Sunday!  This week's challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is a colour challenge.  In order to qualify participants' cards must be predominantly two colours - white plus a second colour of their choice.  Due to technical difficulties, I was forced to use coloured pencils this week.  Apparently Epson refills from Island Inkjet are copic compatible, but genuine Epson refills are not.  I ruined at least two copic tips learning that lesson!  It has been a while since I've used my Lyra pencils but Fred She Said's Lily of the Valley was a pleasure to colour:

I wanted to keep the card simple and focus on the beautiful image.  I embossed the base using texture plates from Stampin' Up!  In order to qualify for the challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges, I layered two ribbons across the top of the card.

Thank you for looking!  I look forward to seeing your white plus one entry on Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog!

Let the Festivities Begin!

As I enjoy a day off in celebration of Canada Day, our neighbours to the south get ready to celebrate their Independence Day on July 4th.  In honour of the glorious US holiday, Melissa designed a mini pack of Independence Day images, including this one "Picnic Pie":

Along with the new release at Meljen's Designs is also a new challenge - Red, White, and Blue! - and an announcement.  Meljen's Designs images - every single one - can be found at their new home at Whimsy Stamps

Thank you for looking.  I look forward to seeing your Red, White, and Blue creations on Meljen's Designs Challenges and Inspiration Blog!
