Paper Sundaes Twelfth Challenge

Happy Sunday!  And for those of you who are celebrating a special day today - Enjoy!  In our household little bunny prints will be tracked down and candies will be devoured.  My six year old son actually asked to go to bed early in an effort to speed up time to morning.

Hard to imagine that Paper Sundaes is now in it's fourth month!  Wow!  I feel the need to do something outrageous...perhaps a little hopping like a bunny?  Nah, not yet.  How about doing something different?  This week's challenge at Paper Sundaes Challenge Blog is a sketch by our talented visionary Christine.  The prize is from Stamp and Create and is not to be missed!  Knowing that Lacey from Stamp and Create is also a talented scrapbooker and DT member of Scrap and Stamp, I decided to return to my papercrafting roots.

Years before discovering the joys of cardmaking, I was a scrapbooker.  I scrapbooked when most people didn't know what I was talking about.  Now most people know the term and can even identify at least one company who sells products.  This layout was inspired by Lacey and the other girls from Scrap and Stamp and will be entered into their sporty challenge this week.  This layout will also be entered into at Simon Says Challenge (distressing).

Thank you for looking!  Please join us this week at Paper Sundaes for your chance to win a $15 gift certificate to Stamp and Create and your choice of two images for the latest Wags 'n Whiskers release "Let's Play"!

As Mad as a Hatter!

Honestly, I am as mad as a hatter over the digital images from Spesch Designer Stamps.  I was checking out challenges when a card caught my eye and I had to follow it back to the cardmaker's blog to identify the stamp source.  That was White Queen and the card was by Sammi.  So, crazy about the images, I had to apply for their DT call.  I must be mad as a hatter!  But hey, there are seven days in the week and I still have days with nothing to post!  :)  Given the talented list of ladies already associated with the Spesch name, I was stunned and extremely flattered to be given the opportunity to work with one of their images as one of the top ten.  Waiting for inspiration to strike and the right papers to inspire, oh was time slow!  I was itching to create something bold and beautiful.  Inspiration struck in the form of Friday Sketchers and my beautiful Bo Bunny papers I was hoarding for a scrapbook layout.

I used the colours in the pattern to inspire her golden yellow hair and the blue for her eyes.  I am extremely frustrated with my R85 and E25 who have apparently lost a battle with polycolor pencils somewhere along the way.  Looking into my crystal ball, I see new nibs in their immediate future!  The sentiment is from Kimmie's Tea Sentiments available through both Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and Stamp and Create.  I used foam squares to pop up the sentiment to add more dimension to the card.

Regardless of whether I make the design team, I will follow both their designers and their new releases.  Their images are cute and work equally well for card designs for my three year old DD, my thirteen year old niece, my mother, or even my mother-in-law - age yet undetermined!

Thank you for looking!  Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

In celebration of Karen's over 1,000 blog followers we are having not one, not two, not even three, but rather FOUR blog hops!  There are four separate blog hops going on which are starting at the four different challenge blogs:

The individual blogs will have Easter Eggs for participants to "pick up" along the way.  At the end of the individual hops, add the eggs together and submit your answer for a chance to win one of four Grand Prizes (one for each blog hop).  All participants with the correct answer will be entered to win their choice of FOUR Karen's Doodles images.  Remember to post a comment as blog commenters will have the chance to win the image featured on each individual blog!

Today launches Meljen's Designs Challenges!  This week is "Anything Goes" which ends April 7th at 11:59p.m. EST.  Challenges will be weekly and while you DO NOT need to use one of Meljen's fabulous images, if you do, you will be entered TWICE!  Weekly challenge winners will receive three free digis of their choice!  Read all about it on the DT blog.

For this hop, I wanted to create something special for my little girl's room.  I picked up a wooden frame at Michael's Arts and Crafts for $1.50 and then I had fun colouring Pixie Dust Fairy, Fire Fly Fairy, and Cuddle Dragon - three brand new images released TODAY at Meljen's new store!

Meljen's Designs now has a new store at http://www.meljensdesigns.com/!  This new website offers INSTANT DOWNLOADS!  Links will be available right after purchase in addition to images being e-mailed to you.  The new site also features a new search function with can be used to locate specific images!

Our blog hop will be ending Wednesday, April 7th 12 noon EST.  The blog hop winner will be posted on the DT blog at around the same time Challenge #2 will be posted.  Blog hop prize will be a $10 gift certificate to Meljen's Designs Store
