Francesca and Cara Chatting

Trying to sneak in a few more challenges this week.  First up, is another of my beloved Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Francesca:

Last week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge was buttons & bows.  I used the basic layout on the inside too:

I'm not satisfied with the next card, I think it needs more bling, but I'd like to enter it in a few challenges so I guess it is going up as is for now.  The image is one of my favorite Mo's teenage images - Cara Chatting.

This layout is from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.  Well, there was a mainly pink challenge going on but I hummed and hawed so long over the card that the challenge closed.  The inside is also heavy emphasis on the pink:

A Sassy Friday

Oh what a happy Friday!  I just got confirmation that I will be attending the copic certification class in Calgary on April 18th!!!  Wowzers!  And PaperWorks Co. is having a spring sale - so I had to pick up a new Spellbinder and a handfull of new copics to celebrate!

Feeling lucky today, this card is perfect to share:

This Sassy Cheryl's image is Saint Pattys Pat.  The first challenge at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is All About Green.  Patty will also be entered into the challenges at Card Positioning Systems (sketch),  The Pink Elephant (add green to colour combo), and Quixotic (Leave it Out - clover leaves should qualify).

Sadly the inside of this card is going to have to wait for Paper Makeup Stamps new release to become available.  Their new lucky sentiments are amazing!  You can check them out on their PMS blog.  I have my eye on their lucky/take a chance sentiment for the inside of this card.  Once these sentiments become available I will post the inside!

Tinkerbell Inspired Flutter By Wednesday

Another joyous Wednesday!  This week the challenge at Flutter by Wednesday is photo inspiration:

My daughter adores Tinkerbell and her bedroom is all decked out with Tinkerbell border, bedding, and accessories.  As such, it really shouldn't be shocking to learn that I have Tinkerbell scrapbboking supplies already on hand.  Given that my daughter loves purple, my card pulled the purples from the inspiration photo and used licensed paper.

This adorable image is Fairy Fun from Karen's Doodles.  The licensed paper was continued to the inside.

The digital sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps.  This card will be entered into the challenge at One Stitch at a Time (sketch) and Simon Says Challenge (Mother's Day/girly).

Please check out the beautiful creations by the other Flutter By Wednesday design team members at the FBW blog.

Copic details: Hair Y000/02; Skin E000/00/02; Flowers on shoes YR65/68; Wings B000/21; Skirt RV000,V12; Shoes and Flowers in hair BV11/13; Top V12/15/17.

Thanks for looking!

Karen's Doodles picks Me!

Amazingly when I ventured downstairs to my craft/computer room yesterday afternoon to finish this card, I noticed an unbelievable e-mail sitting in my junk box.  It seems surreal to announce that I have been chosen for the Karen's Doodles US Challenge Blog design team!  Karen's designs are so cute and fantastic that I often sit with my daughter and we colour them together for hours.  It is because of this special "together" time that I chose to cut the designer series paper specifically to focus on the word "together" in the pattern.  I then used two-way glue and dazzling diamonds to really make the word POP.  The image itself is called Princess Pony and my little princess dictated that the pony had to have pink hair!

The image was coloured with copic markers and her dress was covered with dazzling diamonds.  The word together on the inside sentiment was also highlighted with dazzling diamonds.

This sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps and is currently my favorite so expect to see it often!  It's great for family, friends, and significant others.

Once I discovered that I would be posting such incredible news today, I had to create a second card to celebrate.  The young boy I watch part-time is also one of my son's friends so my son asked me to make him a get well card after he took ill last week and was unable to visit us.

This adorable image is A Friend in Need.  Bigsby is a good friend nursing poor Herbert back to health in Bigsby's tiny bed.  Herbert and Bigsby are going to be entered into this week's challenges at Cupcake Craft Challenge, Copic Creations, and The Pink Elephant.

Thank you for looking and celebrating my announcement!  Watch for Karen's Doodles first US challenge posted here on March 8th.
