A Whiff of Joy Christmas Card

I combined the red/cream/plus one other colour challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges with the sketch challenge at Mojo Mondays and the end result is this little darling. I dusted off my stickles and smooch ink to add some sparkle. She was coloured with Lyra Rembrandt pencils and once again I used Marianne's flower technique.
Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday Tangii Crain!

One designer I love to imitate - but never duplicate - is Tangii Crain. Her cards are always breathtaking. To celebrate her birthday she is spreading the love by offering up some candy which includes stamps from one of my favority stamp companies - Paper Makeup.

Demonstrating that she makes this world a more beautiful place, not just with cards, but rather with actions, Tangii is participating in the Spread the Hope blog hop in honour of Jaimie Cates. It is for Jaimie that I completed this week's challenge at the Sugar Bowl.

My grandfather was the only father figure I knew my whole life and three years after his passing I still struggle with his loss daily. However, I still have my Mom. I can not imagine what this young lady is dealing with and hope that this card can add even a tiny spark of light to her day. Take the time to create a card and show Jaimie that there is goodness in this world in the wake of her tragedy. Please take time to check out Jaimie's story at Stamp Something...for Jaimie.

Doodle Palace Challenge

Once again I thank Chris for directing my attention to Doodle Palace and their cute digi stamps. If you check them out right now they have a cute little digi bear which they are offering free.

I've used their freebie and CTMH Twitterpated Level 2 paper pack. The paper complimented the required brown/green/orange theme and provided the two patterned papers which I used for the main background and the flowers.

The flowers were created after reading the tutorial on Stampartic. Thank you Marianne for sharing your secret to amazing paper flowers.

Just Magnolia and Friday Sketchers Challenges

A big thank you to my friend Christine for encouraging me to get out and make some more cards. I tried to combine four challenges at Just Magnolia , Friday Sketchers, Stamp Shoppe Blog, and Kraftin' Kimmie's and spent most of the day struggling to get it "just so". The end result was worth the pain!

Now I'm off to separating the siblings yet again - this flu quarantine is really stressful on the healthy individuals of a household! And I'll go tackle another sketch or two!
